Man Guilty Of Raping 11-Year-Old Neighbor Multiple Times

SALEM, MASS — A Superior Court jury found a Lynn auto body worker guilty Wednesday of raping an 11-year-old Lynn girl multiple times in 2008.
The jury deliberated for about eight hours over two days following the three-day trial before reaching a guilty verdict on all five charges against Salvador Fuentes, 42, of 14 Rock Ave., Lynn.
Fuentes was indicted on charges of rape of a child, three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and unnatural act with a child.
He was arrested in March 2009 for molesting a girl who lived in an apartment below his multiple times over several months and sending her text messages in which he addressed her as “my love.”
The girl told authorities she had kept quiet about the abuse because Fuentes threatened to stop helping her parents pay rent if she did.
